Description
This is my concept for Chef Pepper Jack, a boss from "Skylanders Trap Team." I had a lot of fun working on this concept. I drew probably a couple dozen character designs for this guy before settling on the red hot chili pepper direction. I initially drew him with a variation of butcher knives and meat tenderizer weapons but they felt too violent and not particularly funny. I think the hand cranked egg beater added the funny element the character needed and using the egg beater in game (after you've trapped him) is awesome.

They considered giving him kitchen knives or a tenderizer instead... but those seemed too mature. So he got a pepper-launching eggbeater instead.
